Charleston, the Gem of South Carolina

I'm in Charleston just now. I flew from Houston last week and whilst I have been here for five days or so this was the first time that I managed to get out and about.

Wow, what a nice place it is. A country town with culture, history and most of all people. All those other places I've visited recently, Norfolk, Tampa, ... I could walk around all day and never meet anybody yet here in Charleston I walked around and I saw humans - walking; riding bicycles; talking; eating; - wow, I cannot quite get over the shock. I was so put off by my recent excursions elsewhere that I was in half a mind not to even bother walking around this town - but I am glad I did now.

Well done ye 'ol citizens of Charleston.
